Recycled Dog Toys

Have you ever realised how much your dog loves things that are not theirs? Our dog loves plastic, paper and metal cans. Here are 7 things you can give your dog that they will absolutely love.

1. A yoghurt box.
All dogs love creamy yoghurt, you can give them a box of yoghurt that has been scraped, so they still get a bit of yoghurt and they get a nice noisy toy.

2. Empty plastic bottle (cleaned)
These exceptionallly noisy bottles have a reputation for recycling and their noisy, crunchy plastic sound. Dogs love the noisy crinkling sound.

3. A long elastic sock.
Dogs love carrying and tearing soft, stretchy socks. Our dog loves tearing up cloth of any type but he especially loves elastic, stretchy ones.

4. Plastic small pots
Our dog absolutely loves his many small pots. He runs around everywhere with pots in his mouth. Also, the sound is very enticing. Whenever he is in the backyard and we have to call him, we just crunch a pot or squeak one of his toys.

5. A piece of wood
When you move into a newly built house and you find pieces of wood lying around, give your dog those. It's entertainment for hours as well as a teether.

6. Big lids
Our dog loves his yoghurt box lid and kicks around it as well as runs laps of the backyard with it on his mouth.

7. Old hats.
Loki once found an old hat in our house and he loved that thing dearly. When he was energetic he would hold it in his mouth, jump and leave it and go running after it. When he was lazy he would sit and chew it. Its a brilliant multipurpose toy.

All of these dog toys are safe until the point where your dog thinks it is edible. Always supervise when giving your dog any new toy.

Hope your dog loves these recycled toys as much as our dog does. Enjoy!
