World Animal Day: Why Animals Are Endangered

   There are many thousands of different ways animals become endangered in forms of natural and human-caused ways. Even though most reasons why animals are endangered is because of humans, there are still some key reasons to make animals endangered. I will tell you 3 natural ways and 7 human caused ways.  Natural Ways 1. Environmental Stress  An iconic species of Australia has become endangered due to this cause. A disease called Chlamydia, caused by stress, can cause many things, the worst being death. Koalas are prone to this disease because of many causes, natural and human-caused. The orca is one of the most important species of animal on the planet. It is a top predator of all environments it lies. The orca is found in all seven oceans and is prone to colder climates for it has thick blubber layer, but it still lives in tropical climates. Orcas are most seen going on with their interesting ways and are truly one of a kind of animal.   The orca, also known as the killer whale, is a cetacean. Cetaceans include dolphin whales and porpoises. Orcas name killer whale makes most people think it is a kind of works well but is it is the largest dolphin on the planet. It is named the killer whale as it is the top of the food chain in all marine ecosystems. Killer whale was the name it was given while orca developed to be popular from its Latin scientific name, orca Orcinus. Have you ever realised how much your dog loves things that are not theirs? Our dog loves plastic, paper and metal cans. Here are 7 things you can give your dog that they will absolutely love. 1. A yoghurt box.  All dogs love creamy yoghurt, you can give them a box of yoghurt that has been scraped, so they still get a bit of yoghurt and they get a nice noisy toy. 2. Empty plastic bottle (cleaned) These exceptionallly noisy bottles have a reputation for recycling and their noisy, crunchy plastic sound. Dogs love the noisy crinkling sound. 3. A long elastic sock. Dogs love carrying and tearing soft, stretchy socks. Our dog loves tearing up cloth of any type but he especially loves elastic, stretchy ones. 4. Plastic small pots  Our dog absolutely loves his many small pots. He runs around everywhere with pots in his mouth. Also, the sound is very enticing. Whenever he is in the backyard and we have to call him, we just crunch a pot or squeak one of his toys....

Orangutans - the man of the forest  Have you ever noticed how similar humans look compared to orangutans? 97% of their DNA is the same as ours.  You may be thinking, how is a monkey, anything related to a human? These great monkeys aren’t monkeys at all; they are apes!      Classification Did you know that orangutan means “man of the forest” in the local Malay language? Their common scientific name for the orangutan is pongo. The Sumatran orangutan’s scientific name is pongo abelii, as the Bornean orangutan’s scientific name is pongo pygmaeus. These orangutans are mammals meaning they are warm-blooded vertebrates that drink milk when they are young, breathe air, and have a more well-developed brain than other types of animals.
